Contributors and Acknowledgements
The Hunter Telephone Collection has been supported by many generous contributors and without each and everyone’s contributions, the Collection and Museum would not be at the stage they are. Soon to come will be a more comprehensive gallery of the Collections’ contributors and acknowledgements.
Perhaps responsible for igniting the passion is Grant L’Green of Dataphone who was Will’s boss when he worked as a technician in the early days. Grant has donated countless used phone systems and equipment as it has become obsolete, rescuing it for the collection and out of landfill.
Simon Wielinger and Will met over a decade ago and Simon has invested many hours with Will, travelling around New South Wales and Victoria acquiring equipment, building the museum space and working on the equipment to develop the working displays.
Rob Picone is one of THE Fujitsu PABX gurus in Australia. He has assisted to build the Fujitsu portion of the collection from the F620, F640 and E630 series.
Shane Blitz is a fellow collector and restorer of rare telephone and exchange equipment. Shane has donated many rare telephones and a Step-by-step Demonstration unit to the collection.
Greg Hutton has put in many hours of assistance to build and maintain the PABX Centre as well as collecting and donating switching equipment for the Collection

AST Technologies donated all of their PABX and Key-System manuals dating back to the 1980s so that we can continue to maintain the collections equipment
Greg Curtis-Flynn is a fellow collector passionate about the preservation of Telephony history. Greg is an active member of the Brisbane Telephone Museum and has assisted by donating items destined for landfill.
Phil Tull has been a great supporter of the Hunter Telephone Collection by donating phones and spotting equipment abandoned in the field. Together Phil assisted Will to decommission an original MDF from a large Government Building that was destined for scrap. The MDF had original hand painted vertical lettering.
Trevor Griffiths was a great contributor through his friendship and shared love of Telephones and Telephony History. Trevor often had the small missing pieces to complete a historic piece of equipment - such as the main-phone of a 1/2 Intercom System. Trevor sadly passed away in 2021 but his memory and legacy live on. We miss you, Trev.
